I haven't seen a topic in the last three pages covering this game, so I'm making it =P

Minecraft's popped up in here some time in the past - it slipped into the Asylum with a few obscure links and some angry messages about a griefer. Today, I present the following links and some tasty info:

Tasty info:
Minecraft is about to move over to Beta soon. How soon? December 20th soon. That means you have from now to the 20th to acquire an "Alpha" account before it goes to Beta. But why does that matter? How does a 50% discount and free updates sound to you? Once Minecraft turns to Beta, Notch will be selling it at 25% off, and may put a price on "expansions" for non-Alpha users.

Minecraft = good stuff. I run a private server that only has 2 people on it so far, we've built a couple towns anyone is willing to join us, just ask. I do have to warn you we sometimes go a little too far with TNT and traps. (each of our main houses has been blown up at least once)

I find that once single player gets boring it never really is fun again, but multiplayer is always fun, especially on small servers.

Built a little shed a little ways away from the default spawn point. You'll recognize it when you see it.

Um... I clicked said link and it brought me to a "creative" server. I assumed that was the KG server.

Yeah...I think it just sends you to the normal game when the server isn't up.

You can actually. If you download the server (once Notch is finished with his migration problems), you can set it to operate with any single player map you have.

You just need to locate where the folder hierarchy is.
