I saw this earlier, my first impressions were "Oh my God" xD

It reminds me of Viewtiful Joe, and the guy himself kinda makes me think of Captain Falcon. In a.... colourful way.

Is that Birdo at the beginning though? o.o

Edit - Bloody smileys. ^^;

I think it's the same species, but not Birdo him/herself.

Either way, I still find it creepy that it's a guy's voice.

Not even Birdo knows that.

If Birdo's a guy, he wouldn't have such a feminine voice in Super Mario Advance. And he's the creepiest "guy" I've ever seen.

Birdo was actually meant to be a cross-dressing guy originally. Im serious. Then it evolved into a female over time i guess.

Yeah, I read something about Birdo once that explained his gender situation, but it was confusing and disturbing so I purged it.

Wiki sez:
QUOTE
Birdo's gender has changed throughout various American game versions, but has always been male in Japan. In the original manual for Super Mario Bros. 2, Birdo is referred to as male that believes he is female, and would liked to be called Birdetta. Most later American-localized games, such as the Mario sports titles, which have featured Birdo with a diamond ring, have listed Birdo as a female. However recent localizations have not been using any gender pronouns when describing Birdo, and some fans consider Birdo as male-to-female a transsexual

Haha, sort of reminds me of Viewtiful Joe, with the whole "average person turning into superhero."

I guess you can slice up those monsters with the yoyos?
