except final fantasy 13 was mediocre. Last totally Shaq-Fu game I bought was probably lost planet.

These are all fair points, but that's not what I'm driving at. I'm not saying, "3DS games take probably 40 hours to beat." Don't think about any other variables. What I'm asking is, assuming all hours were enjoyed and you already owned whatever platform they require, 40 games for 40-ish hours versus 1 game for 40-ish hours. Which way was your money most effectively spent for enjoyment?

My answer? It didn't matter. If I paid about 1 dollar/hour to keep my mind happily occupied either way, it didn't matter. Neither was more fun. Also, if you don't put 40 hours in SML 3D through play/replay, you might still enjoy it. That matters more. I won't suggest that a game does have to be super duper long to be fun, because they don't.

I've enjoyed more than half the games I've bought, so I dunno about 50-50. Maybe if every purchase you make is an impulse buy. Today I'll get Super Mario Galaxy. Tomorrow... I'll get Barbie's Horseback Riding 3! >:3

Assuming the 1 3DS game and 40 iPhone games are all enjoyed for the exact same amounts of time? Sure it doesn't matter. That's also assuming you only purchase games that you enjoy. (Which could be a little hard for 40 iPhone games.)

Yeah, most of them pretty much are not amazing, so if I had to choose, I would say they are all currently on equal playing games where most iPhone games are garbage whereas the 3DS lacks an original game at all. lolol, but no seriously. PM me some good iPhone games any time, peeps.

I don't see how there is doubt in anyone's mind that the 3DS will have an acceptable library at some point.

It probably will. I might be wrong, but PS3 and DS had slow starts.

Nintendo handhelds have been starting off with ports since the gameboy advance. PSP did too.

You're right Valentine, the DS and PS3 didn't have very good launches. I remember people being hesitant to buy the DS cause of the touch screen, and it being called a PDA and such. The PS3 had the whole price thing and not very good launch games.

I was wondering how they'd do it since they said we'd be getting the NES games earlier than other people. Must be a lot (not really) harder/annoying for Nintendo to go through all those friend codes rather than an actual normal online ID XD.
All them digits.

I just looked. They show the titles, but all it says is "coming to eShop". Maybe later today, but I'll be checking again tomorrow.

I don't even know if I'm going to download anything besides the Ambassador Certificate...

Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Wrecking Crew, Mario Open Golf, Yoshi's Egg, Metroid, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

Damn, I already own half of those games. Still glad I didn't pay full price for this system.

SO. What of these games are beatable, out of curiosity? Super Mario Bros, Zelda, Wrecking Crew, Metroid, and Zelda II are.

I think Ice Climber is as well, but I'm not sure.
