Cool! Let me know how it is - it looks really good, but I doubt I'll be buying it anytime soon.

Saw some footage of it and it reminds me a bit of Super Paper Mario, actually.

Do share your experience with us!

http://www.gamezone....r-mario-3d-land

The Nintendo 3DS has proven to be a major flop for Nintendo, who a few months ago dropped $80 from the price tag in an attempt to move units, and now plans to release an awkward new analog-stick attachment to make up for the console's design flaws. Though these tactics seem to have had some effect, it seems clear that the console's biggest problem has been the lack of solid 3DS titles available for sale. Now, this theory has been proven by Super Mario 3D Land, which has actually doubled the number of 3DS units sold this week.

According to Japanese sales data company Media Create, Nintendo has sold 145,271 3DS units during the first week of Super Mario 3D Landís release, more than twice the number sold last week - 65,041. The new Mario title is the best-selling game in Japan right now, with the 343,492 copies sold putting it far ahead of Uncharted 3 (124,989) and Battlefield 3 (123,379).

Obviously a Mario title is a guaranteed best-seller, though whether it will be enough to push the handheld over the top remains to be seen. Already the 3DS faces its strongest competition from the smartphone market, and with the Playstation Vita launching early 2012, Nintendo could use some more Mario, and soon.

Mario makes everything better.

Up to the 7th world right now and holy crap worlds 5 & 6 were so much fun to traverse it felt like a blur. I seriously haven't found a single level that felt bad or mediocre. The only way levels feel bad to me is because the best levels (the few ghosthouses I've visited thus far, and some really high-tension levels.) are soooooooooo good.

It is a tad easy...but I do use the tanooki suit a lot. I wonder how hard some of these rotating platform levels would be without that suit.

And the 3D is fantastic as well. Awesome game honestly.

This feels a lot like a cross between Super Mario 64 and Super Mario World. I love it.

Currently in World 6. I've gotten all of the Star Medals and Gold Flags so far, which hasn't been too difficult, but I know it's going to get crazier from here on. The Boomerang Suit is sweet, and the Propeller Block is AWESOME, but I think the Tanooki Suit is definitely my most used power-up.

Holy fucking shit. Nobody told me the last 3 levels (8-bowser, 8-6, 8-7) of this game were THIS good! Why aren't more people going rabid over this game?! Those were some of the best fucking moments I've had playing Mario. And I thought the final level in Galaxy was fantastic! That is nothing compared to this. This is some next level shit right here. I dislike cussing...but it's warranted here...holy shit.
