...Crap. I honestly can't think of any other way to express my disappointment.

I really dislike monopolies on good programs.

I'm sure they will put Skype software on the 360 but on their next console what if all voice chat was handled through Skype?

I'll be somewhat annoyed if I can't use Skype on my iPhone anymore.

On the plus side:
1. It's not Oracle
2. Microsoft has been producing software of actually decent quality of late (Windows 7, VS2010, Office 2007, etc)
3. I don't use Skype
4. Google Chat (with video!) is and probably always will be free, no matter what Microsoft does with Skype

Can you do 3-way video chat with Google? I haven't tried (as I haven't had the necessity to), but it'd be nice to have something like that for streaming.

Yeah, I've had no luck with JTV streaming directly from my PC, and Skype requires payment for anything more than 1-vs-1 video conferences.

I have Google Talk installed on Trillian. Would this 3 way streaming session LM is talking about be an exclusive feature of the actual GTalk application, or would the program installed on Trillian do the trick? Cause right now, I guess I don't see anything special to do with that.

I didn't know you could install Gmail Chat on Trillian... Might have to look into that...

Makes me mad. I can probably guarantee they will pull support for Linux; Development is slow for it.

The new version is so hard for me to use now, like doing video chat; it always messes up.
