That's a bit ridiculous to me.

Though, it would be kind of cool to see a game where Samus has double arm cannons...

I decided to get a couple of them based mainly on sculpt quality, my personal tastes and, mainly, whether or not they had extra stands.

 

I debated with myself for quite a while about what I wanted to do with these if I got them, and I just can't find it in myself to display something I feel looks bad. On one hand I'd like to have them all, because ever since I played the first Smash Bros. I thought it'd be so cool to actually own all the trophies like you do in the game, but I just can't get over the ugly stands.

 

I have Mario, Yoshi and Pikachu so far. Really pleased with the quality. Either the pictures online do the figures a grave dis justice or I have some of the best ones around, because aside from some tiny imperfections they look perfect. The biggest one being a injection mold mark on Pikachu's tail. Or I at least I think that's what it is. I can deal with it in the same way I don't care as much about seam marks because they're toys. And not unbelievably expensive ones. Though I will keep insisting European prices on Nintendo products are beyond stupid, even on these. Still waiting on Kirby.

 

Of the ones announced, I'm thinking that aside from the ones I talked about I'll get Mega Man, Dedede, Bowser and Meta Knight. Meta Knight is the only one I'll make an exception for with the stand thing since it seems to be nearly invisible (and I want all the Kirby characters), but if they change the color or something dumb later on I won't get it.

 

This past week, hearing about the discontinuing of the Marth and Villager ones I entertained the idea of getting those, more as a joke than anything else, but holy crap they are now sold out literally everywhere. Local stores, online stores, wherever. It's kind of crazy to me. I wonder if they'll restock like Nintendo PR has been saying.

 

Of the unannounced ones, going off of their in-game trophies, the only ones I can really see myself getting for sure are Pac-Man, since that is a big cartoony character with a solid pose requiring no stands (and I like the idea of having Mario, Mega Man and Pac-Man) Ness, assuming they don't give him leg braces like villager, and R.O.B. because that's just hilarious. Depending on general paint and sculpt quality I might also get some of the more human characters like Lucina and Palutena. I really wanted Pit but those baby blue stands are just so ugly to me. Olimar also depends a lot on the figure quality. And then there's 'funny-to-think-about' figures like Dr. Mario and Mr. Game & Watch.

 

I guess overall though, they got me. Curses.

I have Link. I'm planning to get all of the Zelda ones as they're released. Perhaps Metroid as well, but not sure yet.

So Wii Fit Trainer, Villager and Marth are now completely sold out everywhere here as well, and being sold for about €50 ($62) a piece. Holy crap. Now I kind of wish I got in on that when I had the chance to the entirety of last week.

Here's what I'm at so far. Missing Marth and Pit. Wave 3 I have Shulk and Bowser so far, but have preorders for Meta Knight, Toon, Sonic, Mega Man, and Sheik.
