That's a tough choice for me at least. I still haven't decided what I think yet.

That is tough... there's a lot of good games in both...

I think I'll have to go with the 90's, though. N64, SNES, PS1, all of the good Final Fantasy games - it was a great decade for games.

2000's
Not only has technology evolved tremendously, but games in general have improved dramatically. I mean sure, more innovation was made in the 90's, but that's because nearly everything was new. The refinement that occurred in the last 10 years is, to me, much more astounding.

That, and Disgaea didn't come out until the 2000's, but that's more of a personal thing.

Yeah, I don't know about overall better, but for me I'm vastly more impressed with and enjoy the 2000s decade. But then, I didn't really start getting into video games until very late N64, so almost all of my experience has been with the more recent stuff - I've played the past stuff, but I likely don't have the same sort of appreciation as I would have if I'd been gaming when they came out.
