So if you're new, check out the rest of the site, try to join in the conversations, etc.

LM's probably better at explaining than me, so I'll let him or someone else do that.

I'm all for the idea though. Just starting to build competitively now that I've finished my Pokédex. For the league, are we type-specializing, or is it a free-for-all?

Basically, the idea is that our forum will have a Pokémon League - aka 8 Gym Leaders, and, if there are enough people, an Elite Four as well. Each person picks a single type, and builds a 6-Pokémon Team from that type (dual-types are obviously okay). No legendaries, obviously, and no Shadow Tag.

There was talk of having one of the six having the option of being a different type, but with similar looks/type/etc. (like Blaziken on a Flying team). I'm not sure if we're still going to do that or not, since the addition of Dream World abilities and new Pokémon might make it unnecessary, but we can decide that later.

You can also create your own Sprite Pokémon Trainer and Badge to make this seem more unique.

Once the teams are created in the games, we have a round robin tournament to see who gets what Gym (and who gets to be in the Elite Four).

I think that's about it. If you want to read more about it, this was the last time we tried it. It didn't really work out, as people got sidetracked and whatever, but with Black and White now dominating most of our lives, it might actually work well.

By the way, I'm calling the Bug-type.

Last time, the types were thus:
Hanz - Poison
LM - Water (now Bug)
Donut - Fire (no longer active?)
Phaeon - Flying
Forte - Ground (no longer active)
Ego - Psychic
oddish - Normal (no longer active)
Robo - Ice (not formally decided, but reserved

So assuming that Hanz, Phaeon, and Ego stay with their past types, and we keep Ice reserved for Robo, the following types are open: Normal, Fire, Electric, Water, Dragon, Grass, Rock, Ground, Steel, Fighting, Ghost, and Dark.

We will eventually be making a fancy chart that shows our teams, badges, and trainer avatars.

If this is something you'd be interested in, say so here.

Yeah, I'm debating psychic & ghost. I'll most likely end up sticking to psychic though, so leave me as that.

Gonna have to re-work my plans on it though. Also, yes/no to dream world abilities(when they come out, of course)? I'm thinking no, but what does everyone else think?

I don't see why not. They'll add a bit of variety to it, and it would open the doors for Pokémon we might not otherwise use. Still, no Shadow Tag. We can vote on it, though.

I'm also debating the use of Zoroark if anybody picks Dark, though Illusion is obviously a legitimate strategy.

Yeah, I remembered from the first time, but for some reason you weren't on the list for the 2nd time around. I couldn't remember why. And then I spaced and didn't add you to the list. Too bad it doesn't work out for you...

There really isn't anything new for poison that I like except for Scolipede so I may leave that team where it was and go with Ghost this time.

Hmm...maybe:

Gengar
Drifblim
Chandelure
Golurk
Jellicent
Spiritomb?

I don't know...I need to take a look at them I guess.

I'm thinking Ground at the moment - flying didn't get all that much of interest. Team possibly:
Krookodile
Excadrill
Gliscor
Rhyperior
Hippowdon
Garchomp

Sounds like an interesting idea. I'll try Fighting.

Does your chosen type need to be their first type, or are you allowed to pick Pokémon with that as their secondary type as well?

Tentative team: Gardevoir, Metagross, Slowbro, Exeggutor, Gallade, Bronzong. Yes, this is intended to be a Trick Room team, if I can make it work.

As long as they have that type it is good. Doesn't matter if it is primary or secondary.
