Silver, definitely. SoulSilver is a cool name, though HeartGold is cool too. (And also I've always liked Lugia better than Ho-Oh.)

I've always preferred platinum over gold or silver things. (too bad there is a game with the platinum label, the joke is lost D:)

I got Silver version the last time, I think if I venture back to the Pokémon world, I may get Heart Gold.

Since Phaeon gets the warm colors, and I always get the cool colors (Blue, Silver, Sapphire, LeafGreen, Diamond), I'm getting SoulSilver.

Excitement abound! I will likely start with Cyndaquil once again!

Getting both. I'm willing to shell out for them.

While we're on the subject of choices, what are you planning to start with?

As stated, I'll probably choose Cyndaquil. I've always liked the Fire starters, and against the Sprout Tower and Azalea Gym, Cyndaquil has a great time.

Totodile.

Coincidentally, Gen 4 and 2 have the awesomest water starters in my opinion. Chikorita mildly interests me and Cyndaquil not at all. And for versions I'll probably get Gold. I prefer Ho-Oh over Lugia. Might change when the more important differences (Exclusive Pokémans, etc.) are revealed though.

This reminds me I still need to get Platinum. Argh.

All three! Holy Crap.gif

My friends and I spend a few hours whenever we get new Pokémon games just to do that. XD.gif It's cheap, but we really just focus on one. Mine will be Cyndaquil that I focus on the most, and my friend and I decided today I'm calling it Agent. XD.gif (She was drawing what her Totadile would be like, and she called him Pipsqueak, so she drew my Cyndaquil with sunglasses and called him Agent. XD.gif)

As am I. I'll most likely get HeartGold first, though.

As far as starters go, I'll either go Cyndaquil or Totodile. Prolly Totodile, since my original starter in Gold was a Totodile. After I get SoulSilver, I'll get Chikorita and whoever I don't choose in HG.

I am going with Totodile, because despite being my favorite of the three I have never did start with it.

I will be getting SoulSilver(with my brother getting HeartGold), and I will be taking myself a Totodile named Chomper. I had that in my classic Silver, which is the only game to break my Grass starter pattern. I'll have my brother get Cyndiquil, mostly because I already have a totally fresh level 1 Chikorita in waiting on my Platinum.
Also, this game is very unfair to Chikorita. Seriously, the least powerful starter has to blast through a Flying type AND a Bug type gym, then through a gym leader with high defensive scores? Not nice.

I'm really hoping for all sorts of added bonuses. Orange Islands in a similar vein to the Sevii Islands? I sure hope so.

I'll be getting silver again.... so shiny...
Other then that, I don't really care what beginner i get, i'll use the online trade system to get the rest, also these games are really going to help with my collection of Pokémon, trying to catch every Pokémon in number.(i'm past the 151 mark)

I've always been a Silver man, so SoulSilver it is.
