Although the screenshot titled "It appears Borderlands 2 is deep in development" is from the original.

September 18th..was hoping for earlier, but I'm happy we have a solid release date now.

Hmm, I've already got this on preorder, so cool. I wonder if it's a retailer-exclusive pre-order bonus though...I wish it said. Cause it's not saying this on the Amazon pre-order.
Cool about the bonus skin if we have B1 saves, but I wish it was something more than just a skin and head, but meh.

Should've seen this coming the moment I heard skin. Character customization!

Gearbox, the developer behind the upcoming Wii U Aliens: Colonial Marines, has been showering Nintendo’s new console with praise. Most recently, the company’s Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Brian Martel has made a statement on his interest in the Wii U: “I like what they’re doing - obviously with the touchscreen - and it will be interesting to see what Microsoft do with their approach to that idea.”
He went on to pontificate the ways that their heavily anticipated game Borderlands 2 might work on the console: “If Borderlands 2 was on the Wii U, the thing I would be most excited about is inventory management: it would be amazing on that, it would just be fantastic. And I think the artwork would look really good, with the way they can deal with the resolutions and textures, I think it’s a really good console.”. This is all great to hear, but it’s obviously no confirmation for a release.
After all, Martel said that Gearbox is “going to do a wait and see approach” with the Wii U. Hopefully Colonial Marines does well enough that Gearbox and their publisher 2K Games see that Wii U fans would be very receptive to Borderlands 2.
Sounds good, I might go for it.

Also, a reminder to pre-order it if you're planning to get the game for the bonus character class.

Yes, but it's free if you pre-order, $10 if you don't.Isn't the extra class coming out a few weeks after the game is released? That's what I heard anyways.
