Not just because of what fissure said, the kinect is just stupid. I'd rather use remotes like the Wii or Move than stick to waving my arms around like a moron.

Honestly, I don't mind. There's no reliance upon it, and to be totally honest, saving me from continually going into the menu would have been a godsend. Using it for shouts is a bit gimmicky, but using it to make fast travel easier and to make sorting the inventory faster would be really helpful. I already spent enough time managing items in that game - probably a whole quarter of my playtime (which is not insignificant) was in that damn menu.

Anything beyond voice would be dumb though, as would making it mandatory. But as it is, it's free, optional, and non-invasive.

The coolest feature about the Kinect integration is being able to quick save with voice commands. I imagine that's going to be the equivalent of the PC's F5 for 360 users--a godsend, in other words. My friend has both Skyrim and Kinect, so I'll see how well it's integrated next time I hang out with him.
